My name is Dominik, creator of CalmWithDom Mentoring, its blog, and services.
I started this company to provide a deeper insight into the impact mental illness can have on our mindsets, relationships, and lifestyle as highly sensitive people.
I discuss how we can utilize our experiences to develop emotional intelligence, self-growth, and lasting relationships (family, friends, romance, you name it).
All from the perspective of a highly sensitive person who has both depression and anxiety – me.
Who am I, you ask?
I am a Spiritual Mentor certified in Emotional Intelligence and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy coaching.
What I do in a nutshell: I teach highly sensitive people how to harness their sensitivity to overcome their mental health symptoms + cultivate mind, body, and spiritual alignment.
My Background
I have an up-close-and-personal experience with panic disorder, anxiety, and depression – I’m talking +10 years of experience. Coming from a Latino, Christian household in which mental health + spirituality was taboo, I’ve done a LOT of inner work to gain the skills that I have now to cultivate my coping strategies.
This is what led me to get my certifications in Emotional Intelligence and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy coaching.
As a result, I’ve helped dozens of highly sensitive intuitives become confident in their intuition, their ability to heal, and their ability to become the best versions of themselves through shadow work, emotional intelligence building, community, and the tarot.
It’s been quite the journey, and it’s only the beginning.
What I Do Today
My goal is to help you, my fellow Sensitive Soul, in navigating your mental health to feel empowered to take back control of…well, everything. On the blog we touch on coping mechanisms, maintaining our relationships, and productivity that adds value to our differing lifestyles.
I know what it’s like to be down in the gutter and I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. Mental illnesses don’t discriminate on age, unfortunately; I wish I had the knowledge I share on here all those years ago when I was desperately scrambling for answers. Feeling out of control is not an easy thing to deal with, especially as a young person.
The good news? We are never not in control of our lives, at least not completely. We can still cultivate the lives we want without sacrificing our health, our energy, or our relationships. Our journeys simply look a bit different than others, which is why it can be easy to start believing people when they say you can’t do the same things they can.
But that’s just not true.
